Remote Controlled Land Rover without Microcontroller

This is an entry level robot that can be made without any microcontroller and programming. I have made this from scraps like CDs, old pen etc. This is a robot that can be controlled using a RF remote made with 433MHz RF module.

The main core of the circuit is Holtek HT-12E and HT-12D encoder decoder pair. The project idea is took from Electronics For You magazine.The circuit details and working is well described in the PDF here.
We can use either RF or IR for the control. IC CD 4017 modulates the encoder output to 38KHz.
